Installing Javascript – GoDaddy Website Builder

This article discusses how to add a Javascript <script>, such as Vizaport’s script, to a GoDaddy Website Builder site. For GoDaddy WordPress sites, go here.  This article is generic and should apply to any such script, but we will be using an example from Vizaport.

Option 1) On a Page

This first option is simple with GoDaddy Website Builder, but is limited to adding to a page or pages. The second option below is more complex and can be done across the entire web site (theme).

Steps to add Javascript to a page:

  1. Select Edit Website or Edit Site
  2. Go the page you want and choose Add Section.
  3. Search for the HTML section and click add.
  4. Paste your Javascript into the Custom Code field.
  5. Preview and publish your site.

To get your Vizaport widget script, go to the configure widget page. Here’s a quick video with GoDaddy instructions that could be helpful.

Watch the Video (if you need further help)

We suggest watching the following video for detailed steps on how to add the <script> on Shopify. Although note that these steps differ from above. This video includes a CSS example (not needed) and also creates a .js file first (we chose the simpler path to add <script> code directly.
