Installing Javascript on a SquareSpace Site

This article discusses how to add a Javascript <script>, such as Vizaport’s script, to a SquareSpace site. This article is generic and should apply to any such script, but we will be using an example from Vizaport.

Add the Script

These next steps assume you are logged into SquareSpace and have the appropriate permissions to modify:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Select Developer Tools from the Settings menu
  3. Select Code Injection. You can also do a search, using the search bar, for Code Injection if it is not located here.
  4. Add the <script> code to the Footer section of Code Injection and save.

In this example, we are using a Vizaport Chat Widget script which you get from configure widget page, but these steps should apply to any Javascript to be placed in SquareSpace.

You may also find this video handy that explains how to do a Code Injection.
